Centre appointed interlocutor meets WB CM

The centre appointed interlocutor to settle the Darjeeling statehood issue, Mr. Vijay Madan on Monday met the West Bengal Chief Minister Buddhadev Bhattacharjee in Kolkata. <br/><br/>After the meeting with the Chief Minister and top brass of the state administration, Mr. Madan said that the Darjeeling crisis is a political issue and it should be resolved through discussions with all concerned.<br/><br/>Mr. Madan will meet the State Governor Gopal Krishna Gandhi on Tuesday. AIR Kolkata correspondent reports that the centre appointed mediator will visit Darjeeling on next Wednesday to have a on the sport assessment of the situation. Mr. Madan’s visit assumes significance ahead of tripartite meeting to resolve the Darjeeling crisis on 21 December.<br/>
