The government on Tuesday announced incentives worth 500 crore rupees for exporters .This will encourage them to aggressively market products in China and Japan and build on the recovery witnessed since November last year. The sectoral package include expansion of the Focused Product Scheme under which exporters are given 2 to 3 per cent incentives.Unveiling these measures in New Delhi, the Commerce and Industry Minister Mr. Anand Sharma also announced inclusion of China and Japan in the Market Linked Focused Programme under which exports to specified countries are provided sops. AIR correspondent reports that the new policy will be effective from wednesday and burden would be borne by the internal budget of his ministry. After a 13 months contraction, India is back on the growth path. Exports are on the rise again. They grew by 19 percent in November and about 10 per cent last month. Though there has been growth in this sector but it is not uniform. officail sources say that the growth will be uniform in the days to come with the new bag of incentives in place.
