Centre has announced the Prime Minister's Shram Awards for 2016 which will be conferred on 50 workers including three women for their distinguished and outstanding performance. <br/><br/>Shram Awards are given in four categories namely Shram Ratna Award, Shram Bhushan Award, Shram Vir/Shram Virangana and Shram Shree/Shram Devi Awards. 34 workers from Public Sector and 16 workers from Private Sectors have won the Awards. <br/><br/>Labour Ministry in a release said, no nomination was found suitable for the prestigious Shram Ratna Award this year. 12 nominations for the Shram Bhushan Award, 18 nominations for Shram Vir and twenty nominations for Shram Shree Awards have been selected.<br/><br/>The Shram Bhushan award carries a cash award of one lakh rupees, while the Shram Vir carries a cash prize of 60 thousand rupees. The Shram Shree award carries a cash prize of 40 thousand rupees.
