Centre has announced that Prime Minister's Shram Awards for 2014 to be awarded to 54 workers in recognition of their distinguished performance and innovation.<br/><br/>A Labour Ministry release said in New Delhi that these awardees made outstanding contribution to productivity and exhibited exceptional courage and presence of mind on duty.<br/><br/>According to the statement, there are nine nominations for the Shram Bhushan Award, 19 for Shram Vir/Shram Veerangana and 26 for Shram Shree/Shram Devi Awards.<br/><br/>Of the total of 54 awardees, 36 are from the public sector and 18 from the private stream.
