Centre and States will work together to tackle air pollution in National Capital Region: Bhupender Yadav

<span style="color: #222222;">Environment, Forest and Climate Change Minister Bhupender Yadav has said that Centre and States will work together to tackle air pollution in the National Capital Region. He said, government has taken various steps to tackle the issue of stubble burning. Mr. Yadav on Thursday released Central Pollution Control Board Guidelines for grant of one-time financial support for promoting establishment of paddy straw based pelletisation and torrefaction plants in New Delhi today. <br />''<br />''The objective of this financial support is to enable reduce burning of paddy straw in NCT of Delhi, Punjab, Haryana and NCR district of Rajasthan and Uttar Pradesh. Mr. Yadav said, Paddy straw burning in Northern regions of the country has emerged as one of the major causes of air pollution during winters, especially in Delhi-NCR. The Minister urged the farmers to avoid stubble burning and promote its utilization being a valuable resource. He said, government will fulfill the vision of Prime Minister Narendra Modi of Clean India by making Delhi and NCR pollution free.</span><br />
