Centre always ready for talks if Maoists shun violence: HM Rajnath Singh

Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh has appealed to Maoists to shun violence and come forward for peace.<br/><br/>Addressing a public meeting at Sakri near Bilaspur on Saturday as part of "Vikas Parv" to mark the completion of two years of NDA government, Mr Singh said the Centre is always ready for talks, if the Maoists eschew violence.<br/><br/>However, he maintained that the government would not remain a mute spectator if Maoists continued to unleash violence.<br/><br/>Referring to the completion of two years of NDA government, Singh said the people of the country have reposed their faith in the NDA.<br/><br/>He said country's image and pride has enhanced at the international level due to policies and schemes introduced by the present government during the last two years.<br/><br/>On Jammu and Kashmir, Mr. Rajnath said that the infiltration declined by 50 per cent and this was possible due to the efforts of security forces.<br/><br/>Admitting that earlier terrorists could easily sneak into the country, the Minister said that now it is not possible and the border is fully protected.
