The Centre has allotted two crore rupees for making details projects report for the cities selected under the smart city project.<br/><br/>Union Urban Development Minister Venkaiah Naidu today said in Kolkata at a workshop where Municipal representatives of the 13 states including West Bengal under smart city mission were present.<br/><br/>Mr. Naidu said that 20 cities from different state have been chosen at the current year for making up smart cities. <br/><br/>He said that each of the selected cities will get rupees hundred crore every year, for five years, for the project work. <br/>The proposed smart cities will provide higher education, good health management, employment generation, financial development and many other social and structural benefits.
