Centre on Thursday allocated thirty thousand crores rupees to Gujarat for the annual plan of 2010-2011. This is for the first time in 50 years that there has been increase of 25 percent in the budget allocation as compared to the previous year's allocation for the state. Satisfied with his meeting with the Deputy Chairman of Planning Commission, Mr. Montek Singh Ahluwalia, Mr. Modi said that three major projects will be undertaken in the state, the most important being the construction of 700 mega watt. <br/>
