Government has allocated 10 lakh rupees to the Wildlife Crime Control Bureau for the first time for intelligence gathering. <br/><br/>An environment ministry official said in New Delhi today, this would go a long way in curbing wildlife crime. <br/><br/>This is also the first time that the annual budget of the Bureau has been enhanced to 4 crore rupees against 60 lakh rupees last year.<br/><br/>The bureau was set up in 2008 at the behest of Prime Minister Dr Manmohan Singh to strengthen anti-poaching activities.<br/>
