Union Minister for Steel and Mines Narendra Tomar has appealed the state governments to complete the auction process of mines so that additional revenue and employment could be generated in the state. <br/><br/>In the national meet of the mining ministers of different states in Jaipur today, Mr Tomar said that centre is ready to help the state governments in auction process. Union Minister said center has allocated Rs 6000 crore for the District Mineral Foundation which will be used for welfare of locals of mining areas. <br/><br/>He urged upon the state governments to set up District Mineral Foundation as soon as possible. <br/><br/>He said that mining sector contributes 2.4 per cent in GDP which can be increased by speeding up the auction of mines. Union Minister said centre is also working on exploration policy to promote mining industry in the country.
