The government has agreed to make public the audio recordings of proceedings of the Joint Drafting Committee constituted in April this year to frame the Lokpal Bill.
The Joint Drafting Committee comprised five members of Team Anna Hazare and five Cabinet Ministers. The department of personnel has decided to provide the recordings to an RTI activist S C Agrawal after charging 450 rupees as additional fee.
Congress Spokesperson Abhisek Manu Singhvi said whatever is permissible under the RTI Act will come in public domain.
