A meeting of the Central Zonal Council Chaired by Home Minister, P.Chidambaram, will be held in New Delhi on Wednesday to discuss issues relating to internal security and police administration. Strengthening of intelligence, proper deployment and optimum utilization of Central Para-Military Forces, realistic assessment of manpower for police administration and tenure of police officers at the district, sub-division and police station level will be high on the agenda. AIR correspondent reports that the Central Zonal Council consists of the States of Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh and Uttarakhand.
