Central teams visit West Bengal to assess damage caused by cyclone Amphan

<span style="color: #222222;">In West Bengal, a Central team is currently visiting areas hit by Cyclone AMPHAN in North and South 24-Parganas Districts. The seven-member team led by Joint Secretary of the Union Home Ministry Mr. Anuj Sharma arrived in Kolkata yesterday to assess the damages caused by the Super-cyclonic Storm.<br />''<br />''Dividing in two groups the Central Team is currently taking stock of the damages at AMPHAN ravaged various areas in North and South 24-Parganas Districts. One team is visiting various areas at Sandeshkhali, Kalagachhia, Dhamakhali under Basirhat Sub-Division in North 24-Parganas District while other team is currently on visit different places under Kakdwip Sub-Division in South 24-Parganas District. Both the teams made an aerial survey to assess the damages besides interacting with local people.<br />''<br />''The Central team also took an eye-witness report on damages of river embankments in Sunderbans. Prior to their visits to the affected places both the District Administrations briefed the Central team about the devastation. The team will meet the top brass of the State Administration tomorrow and later they will submit a detailed report on the damages to the Centre.</span><br />
