In Assam, the 7 -member Central team today visited various districts to assess the damage caused by devastating flood and landslides. Later, they held a meeting with Deputy Commissioners through Video Conferencing in Guwahati on flood situation in presence of state Chief Secretary and other senior officials. They are likely to return to Delhi tomorrow. Meanwhile, the flood condition improved in the state as the Brahmaputra and its a few tributaries are flowing below the danger level except in Nematighat and Dhubri.
