In Telangana, a two-member central team has visited the state today to assess the situation in the context of demonetization of high denomination currency notes. <br/><br/>The two-member team comprised of Additional Secretary, Reddy Subrahmaniam and Deputy Secretary Anamika Singh began field visits in Karimnagar and Nizamabad districts to assess the situation especially in rural areas. <br/><br/>Earlier, the team had a meeting with State Chief Secretary Rajeev Sharma at the Secretariat in Hyderabad and discussed the situation with the banks and the procedures and arrangements specially made for people to enable them to exchange old high denomination notes and cash withdrawals from the banks. <br/><br/>State Finance Principle Secretary and few other senior officials attended the meeting.
