Central team visits Puri after 48 days of Cyclone Fani

Forty-eight days after Cyclone Fani hit Odisha coast on May 3rd, a Central team visited Puri district to assess the condition of families which are still deprived of basic amenities.<br />'' <br />'' The solution to these livelihood problems will obviously take time. The Odisha government says more than five thousand two hundred twenty-seven crore rupees is required for relief to those affected by the cyclone.<br />'' <br />'' As per the information available, the state government has distributed one thousand four hundred eighty-one crore rupees so far and are yet to rec­eive money from the Centre.<br />'' <br />'' Hopefully, funds will be released after submission of the details of damage assessment report by the Central team which visited Fani ravaged areas of Puri for the second time.<br />
