Central team visits Kashmiri Migrant colonies

A Central team from the Ministry of Home Affairs visited various Kashmiri Migrant colonies spread across the Jammu city and reviewed the status of ongoing works on construction of quarters under Prime Minister’s Reconstruction Programme. The team headed by Deputy Secretary MHA, Jammu & Kashmir affairs Dr. V. Candavelu, visited the under-construction Kashmiri Migrant quarters at Jagti near Nagrota and reviewed the pace of works in the second phase to house 4218 Kashmiri Migrant families. Relief commissioner, Migrants, Vinod Kaul apprised the visiting Central Team that out of total 5242 flats to be constructed under the PMRP, 1024 Two-Room Tenements have been completed in the first phase and allotment done. The work on the remaining 4218 TRTs is under progress and is expected to be completed by May this year. <br/>
