A 7-member Central team visited flood affected districts of Assam to assess the damage. The Central team will meet the State Chief Secretary today. Assam government has asked for a relief and rehabilitation package worth 13 thousand 217 crore rupees from the Centre. Chief Minister Tarun Gogoi reviewed the flood situation on Wednesday and instructed the concerned departments to expedite relief works.
