The Central team, deputed by the Home Ministry to assess the damage and loss caused by Cyclone Ockhi in Kochi coast, began visiting the affected areas today. <br/><br/>Before visiting the affected areas, the District Collector and other officials met the team and apprised them of the prevailing situation in the coastal areas and steps to be taken to mitigate the miseries caused by the cyclone. <br/><br/>The team first visited the worst hit area of Chellanam village and held detailed discussion with the people and concerned officials in regards to the steps to be taken to normalise the situation. The team will visit other affected areas in the afternoon.<br/><br/>On Thursday, the team will visit the coastal areas of Trissur District.
