Central team to visit Maharashtra to ascertain loss of Rabi crops

The Union Agriculture Minister Mr. Sharad Pawar has said that central team would visit Maharashtra to ascertain the loss of Rabi corps due to drought like situation in the state. He said that the centre has given an assistance of 778 crore rupees to the state for the loss of Kharif crops and more help would be given as per the recommendation of the central team. Speaking at the review meeting of Solapur district at Akluj he said that the government is working hard to tackle drought like situation in the state. This time there is no food scarcity however drinking water problem is very severe, he added. Mr. Pawar suggested various measures for water conservation and appealed to the co-operative sugar factories in the state to take imitative for water shed development in their areas.
