A Central government team will visit Gorakhpur in Uttar Pradesh, to study the sanitation and water quality to prevent the spread of Japanese Encephalitis there.Talking to reporters in New Delhi, Water and Sanitation Minister Jairam Ramesh said that the team will have officers from Water and Sanitation as well as Health Ministry.He said that the members of the UNICEF and NGOs are also being included in the team.Mr. Ramesh also said that the team will prepare an action plan to control the spread of Japanese Encephalitis within a month's time. The Minister said that poor sanitation is the major reason for the spread of this disease in eastern Uttar Pradesh.
