Central teams will visit the flood affected areas of Orissa shortly to assess the damage caused by the deluge. Union Minister of State for Agriculture Harish Rawat told this to news persons in Bhuvaneshwar after visiting the flood affected areas in the state. He said a ten member team of home ministry headed by joint secretary will visit the flood ravaged areas of the state a to asses the flood situation. Another special team of agriculture ministry will also visit the affected areas. On the basis of the reports given by the central teems, the affected farmers will get the ex-gratia.He said 411 crore rupees has been granted for flood ravaged Orissa to meet the flood situation from National Disaster Management fund. Of this, Rupees 154 crore has already been provided to the State. And rest of the amount and more funds will be given to Orissa by the centre after utilizing this aid.Rejecting allegations of central negligence levelled by ruling BJD , he said helicopters have been provided to the state for air-dropping food and relief materials. Besides, the state was given 154 crore rupees under the Calamity Relief Fund in August.He said he is visiting the affected areas on the instructions of the Prime Minister, who is concerned about the situation there.
