A Central team will soon visit the drought-hit states to assess the situation.<br/><br/>The decision to this effect was taken by Agriculture and Farmer's Welfare Minister Radha Mohan Singh who held a review meeting with officials in New Delhi on Wednesday to assess the impact of deficit rains on crops in various states.<br/><br/>An official release said, Mr Singh has assured the states that the government is fully prepared to deal with the possibility of drought in view of deficit rains.
