In Sikkim, the central team comprising seven engineers jointly led by an IIT Professor, C B R Murthy from Chennai University and a member of National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) Shashi Bhushan began the assessment of damages in north district, worst hit by last month's earthquake. The team after covering Chungthang, Lachung, Lachen and Dzongu will return back to Gangtok on the 23rd of this month. The team after assessment of earth quake damage particularly in north and east district will return back to Delhi on the 25th of this month.
