Later the team members visited key health facilities and inspected the containment programmes in Chennai.</span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;"> </span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">Meanwhile, the total number of Covid-19 infections in Tamil Nadu has crossed one lakh, 26-thousand with 4231 people confirmed positive today.</span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;"> </span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">AIR correspondent reports, the five member central team led by the Union Health Ministry Additional Secretary Aarti Ahuja has a mix of senior central government officials and medical experts.</span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;"> </span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">They include the Union Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade Joint Secretary Rajendra Ratnoo, who is nominated by the Centre as the official in charge of monitoring the pandemic situation in Tamil Nadu.</span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;"> </span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">After getting briefed by the state health minister Thursday morning, the team visited the Government Rajiv Gandhi General Hospital in Chennai, a designated Covid-19 treatment facility in the city.</span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;"> </span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">The doctors there explained the clinical practices being followed and took them around the facility. The team later visited the fever camps being organized in some of the Chennai Corporation wards from where suspected cases are subjected to RT-PCR tests.</span><br />''  <br />
