<span style="color: #222222;">The seven-member central team delegated to assess the damages caused by the recent cyclone in Tamil Nadu have inspected some of the affected areas in Pudukkottai district on Saturday evening. </span><br />'' <br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">In the morning, the inter-departmental team called on the state chief minister Edappadi Palaniswamy and chief secretary Girija Vaidyanathan in the secretariat at Fort St George in Chennai and later proceeded to the delta districts. </span><br />'' <br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">They inspected the reinstallation of the damaged electricity distribution network, crop loss and the other destroyed infrastructure, besides interacting with the affected public.</span><br />'' <br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">Despite the ongoing rain, the state power distribution staff and their counterparts from neighbouring states are involved in reinstalling the damaged electricity distribution network in the delta districts. The state administration has said, in a few days' time, the power supply will resume in all villages.</span><br />'' <br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">Meanwhile, several villages complain of relief materials not reaching them sufficiently. Many industrial houses and individuals have contributed about 13.32 crore rupees to the Chief Minister's Relief Fund so far to help the affected public. </span><br />'' <br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">The state government employees association has said the staff would contribute their one-day salary for the cause.
