In Kerala, a six member central team led by R P Nath, Joint Secretary, Ministry of Home Affairs arrived in Kochi on Thursday to assess the damage caused by rain in the state. The team held discussions with Additional Chief Secretary Mrs Nivedita P Haran, the District Collectors of Ernakulam and Alappuzha and visited some of the rain affected areas in Kochi.The central team will split into three groups and visit the rain affected districts of the state during the next couple of days.
