<span style="color: #222222;">The Central team headed by Union Home ministry Joint secretary K V Pratap arrived in Bengaluru today to assess losses caused by rain and flood in a few districts of the state.</span><br />'' <br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">The team met Chief Minister B S Yediyurappa. The Chief Minister informed them that the state incurred 8071 crore rupees losses due to floods. There is crop loss over 4.03 lakh hectares due to natural calamity.</span><br />'' <br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">The roads, bridges, electricity supply equipments, schools, anganwadi and Government buildings too are extensively damaged.</span><br />'' <br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">Mr. Yediyurappa informed that state has planned to build calamity resistant houses for the homeless persons.</span><br />'' <br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">The state has announced a compensation of Rs. five lakh for those whose houses were completely damaged in the floods, three lakh for major damage and 50000 for those whose houses were partially damaged. </span><br />'' <br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">He underscored the need for disaster relief fund to combat Covid and natural calamity. The Central team will leave for districts affected by rain and floods tomorrow.</span><br />''
