The Central Sanskrit Universities Bill, 2019 has been passed in the Lok Sabha today which is aimed at giving the three deemed Sanskrit Universities the full-fledged Central Universities status.<br />'' <br />'' In his reply, Human Resource Development Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal 'Nishank' said the Bill will help promote the treasure of knowledge in Sanskrit. He said anyone in the world can come and do research on Sanskrit through the Central Universities.<br />'' <br />'' The Minister said, all Indian languages will be given equal priority in their promotion. He said India was a vishwaguru with a great wealth of knowledge in all subjects as stored in Sanskrit.<br />'' <br />'' Welcoming the Bill, BJP member Dr Satya Pal Singh said Sanskrit is timeless and is the basis for the evolution of several languages. He said the further promotion of the language by measures like establishing central universities assumes paramount importance.<br />'' <br />'' Saptagiri Shankar Ulaka of Congress said apart from establishing new Central Universities, fund allocation and the number of faculties should also be enhanced.<br />'' <br />'' A Raja of the DMK said all languages should be allocated funds proportionately for their promotion. Minister of State for Parliamentary Affairs Arjun Ram Meghwal intervened to say, the Bill should not be viewed as Sanskrit-versus other languages.<br />'' <br />'' Professor Saugata Roy of AITC while welcoming the Bill said Sanskrit summarizes the ethos, culture and civilization of India.<br />'' <br />'' Dr Satyavati of the YSR Congress Party said Sanskrit is a highly grammatical language and India without Sanskrit would be unimaginable.<br />'' <br />'' Kaushlendra Kumar of JD (U) said Sanskrit and Indian ethos are synonymous. Dr Rajashree Mallik of the BJD supported the Bill saying, many Sanskrit words have been adopted by several languages in the world.<br />'' <br />'' A total of 28 members spoke on the Bill.<br />''  <br />
