The project to rehabilitate people in the Aila devastated 778 km area in Sundarban and adjoining areas has received Central nod for rebuilding the sea coast. For this Central Water Resources Ministry has granted 5 thousand 32crore rupees. In reply to a call attention motion by legislators Chittaranjan Mandal, Jane Alam Mian and Abul Hasnat that in the State Assembly, the State Agriculture Minister Subhas Naskar said this in a written statement. He said that, 25 percent, to the tune of 107 crore 19 lakh rupees have been allocated. Naskar said that, the work on land acquisition is going on, and by November this year it has been planned to acquire 6 thousand acres of land. The Agriculture Minister said that, local people are being made aware of the land acquisition plans and the compensation their off.<br/>
