Central Govts didn't show cooperative attitude towards gas victims alleges Gaur

In Madhya Pradesh, gas tragedy and rehabilitation minister Babulal Gaur has alleged that central governments, whether led by Congress or NDA, didn’t show cooperative attitude towards gas victims. <br/><br/>Talking to media in Bhopal this evening he said centre didn’t give a penny for gas victims since 1999. Mr. Gaur said that he has been invited in the meeting of Group of Ministers (GoM) for review of Bhopal gas tragedy matters on 18th of this month in Delhi. He said that he will demand compensation for remaining 20 wards of Bhopal. <br/><br/>Mean while, Madhya Pradesh government has removed the Narmada Valley Development Authority member Swaraj Puri, who was Superintendent of Police of Bhopal during gas tragedy, from his post today. <br/><br/>Mr. Puri was a member of the Grievance Redressal Authority of the NVDA. He had allegedly dropped prime accused of Bhopal gas tragedy Warren Anderson to airport in his official on 7th December 1984.<br/><br/>The local media had raised questions about Mr. Puri being given status of minister of state in the current BJP government of the state in senior BJP leader and former Chief Minister Suderlal Patwa press conference yesterday.
