Central govt's 2-member team arrives in Nagpur to inspect damage caused by floods in August

A two member team of the Central government arrived in Nagpur today to inspect the damage caused by the floods in August in rural parts of Nagpur district and east Vidarbha. Team led by Director R P Singh and Superintending Engineer Mahendra Sahare, visited Gumthala village in Kamptee taluka and Singardeep village in Parshivani taluka today. Later, they also visited Bhandara District to take the stock of damage.<br />''<br />''AIR Correspondent reports, the Central team visited the flood affected villages in Kamptee and Parshivani blocks of Nagpur in the morning. The team interacted with affected villagers and took notes of the damage to property and crops. District Collector of Nagpur Ravindra Thackeray and Tehsildar of the district were accompanying the team. <br />''<br />''As many as 61 villages in five talukas of Nagpur district and 90,858 people in 14 talukas of Nagpur division were affected due to the flood like situation in Nagpur and East Vidarbha in the month of August this year. The two member team also visited Pindkepar and Khaksi villages in Pawani taluka of Bhandara district. <br />''<br />''<span style="color: #222222;">Prior to this, the team visited the Agricultural Produce Market Committee and inspected the grains received by the market committee. A review meeting to assess overall situation of crop and property damage will be held at the Nagpur Divisional Commissioner Office. </span><br />
