Central government will provide an assistance of 70 crore rupees to Jharkhand government to fight the menace of Naxal problem. The fund will be used to construct barracks and new police stations. This was told to the reporters by the state DGP N Ahmed at Ranchi after he returned from New Delhi. The Center will provide 800 crore rupees to the Naxal affected states under police modernization scheme. Jharkhand has shown some important success against the Naxals in recent times. Union Home Minister P Chidambaram had chaired the meeting of DGP of Naxal affected states.
