Central govt provides medical assistance to Sikkim to strengthen its response to second wave of COVID

<span style="color: #222222;">Sikkim has been receiving medical assistance provided by foreign countries through the central government to tide over the second wave of the COVID19 pandemic. This is supplementing the state's health infrastructure in the battle against COVID19.</span><br />'' <br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">The central government has provided medical assistance received from countries like Germany and Thailand to Sikkim to strengthen its response to the second wave of COVID19. Medical equipment received so far include oxygen concentrators and portable ventilators, which are being set up at various hospitals and COVID care centres across the state. State nodal officer for COVID19 consignment Dr T Yamphel Bhutia speaks about the assistance received, deployment of resources and benefits.</span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;"> </span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">In addition, director general of Sikkim health department Dr Pempa Bhutia has informed that the state will soon receive D-type jumbo and small oxygen cylinders from the central government to further support medical facilities.</span><br />''  <br />
