Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Mayawati today alleged that central government is not serious in implementing Right to Education Act as it has not provided financial assistance to the state governments to implement the act.<br/><br/>AIR Lucknow correspondent reports that Ms. Mayawati has written a letter to the Prime Minister in this regard. She has said only issuing guidelines for the states are not sufficient for implementation of the Act. She has said that proper discussion should be held with States for effective implementation of the Act.<br/><br/>Referring needs of the largest state Uttar Pradesh to implement the Act she has said as per provisions made in the act about 8 thousand crore rupee should be spent by the State Government for implementing the Act but the present financial condition of the state does not allow it. She demanded to the centre for providing 18 thousand crore rupees to implement the Right to Education Act in the state. She has said that if in real sense central government wants to implement this act for the welfare of the common men it should bear entire expenditure to be occurred in its implementation.<br/>
