Central Govt led by PM Modi has given priority to development of North East States: JP Nadda

<span style="color: #222222;">BJP National President JP Nadda today said that Central Government led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi has given priority to the development of the North East States. Speaking at a function in Imphal today, Mr Nadda said since the NDA government came to power in 2014, it has taken forward the development of the North East in a phased manner. He said Prime Minister Modi has visited the North East region fifty times in the last seven years.  <br />'' <br />'' Mr Nadda added that since the BJP came to power in Manipur, the law and order situation has improved significantly in the state. He said governance has come to the doorstep of the people and the benefits of different schemes are being provided to the people on the spot directly. He said that many insurgents laid down arms and joined the mainstream. The state has taken up many infrastructure projects with the assistance of the central government.</span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;"><br />'' Mr Nadda launched a Video Van which will carry the messages on the achievement of BJP led State government in the last four years and eight months. The Van will visit different places in the State. He also chaired BJP Mandal meetings at two places in Imphal.</span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;"> <br />'' Manipur Chief Minister N. Biren Singh, BJP Manipur Pradesh President A. Sarda Devi and others attended the meeting.<br />'' Addressing the gathering, Mr Nadda said that the women of Manipur have contributed in every field including sports, literature and freedom struggle. He said, Manipur is a symbol of women empowerment for other states. He mentioned several women empowerment schemes including Beti Bachao Beti Padhao, Ujjawala Scheme and Swachh Bharat Campaign which have been initiated by the Central government to empower women.</span>
