Union Human Resources Development Minister Prakash Javadekar said that central government is laying emphasis to quality and expansion of higher education. <br/><br/>Speaking at a function inaugurating new permanent campus building for IIM Tiruchirapalli today through video conferencing, he said that IIM bill when passed in the parliament will give full autonomy to IIMs and students will get proper master degrees from the IIMs. <br/><br/>Union Minister Prakash Javadekar said that Rs 772 crore has been allocated for the permanent campus of IIM Tiruchirapalli. He said the IIM bill will make all the IIMs in the country centres of excellence. <br/><br/>IIM Trichy Director Dr Prafulla Agnihotri said that the first phase of permamnent campus has been completed in 170 acres of land in Chinna Suriyur at a csot of Rs 330 crore. There are classrooms of 25, 50, 80 125 and 250 seating capacity with international standards. Finance lab, behavioural lab and centre for management science are special facilities in IIM Trichy. <br/><br/>All the class rooms are smart class rooms with wifi facility. IIM Trichy is conducting postgraduate programme in management with intake of 180 students and Fellow programme in management.<br/>
