Central Govt is committed to development of Mizoram: Giriraj Singh

Union Minister of State for Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises Giriraj Singh has said, Central Government is committed to the development of Mizoram. Interacting with the artisans of Cane & bamboo Cluster in Aizawl, the Minister asked them to develop a model of their own products for more viable marketing opportunities. <br/><br/>Mr Singh also encouraged the artisans to go for internet marketing for maximum sale of their products. He expressed hope that the the e-commerce would lead to marketing booms for the artisans. The Minister reached Aizawl yesterday for a three days visit. AIR Correspondent reports that With the abundant bamboo products in the state, Union Minister of State for Micro, Small & Medium Enterprises Giriraj Singh said in Aizawl today that there is ample opportunity for development of bamboo industry in Mizoram. <br/><br/>Committing for a "Bamboo Mission" in the state, the Minister asked the artisans to develop a model of their own products and assured full co-operation and assistance for marketing. Saying that unemployment is the biggest problem in the state, he promised all help and financial assistance in bamboo sector for generating employment opportunities in the state. He also said that in the event of BJP coming to power in the Assembly election to be held next year, he said that two lakhs job will be created for the youth of Mizoram.
