Union Finance Minister Arun Jaitley has categorically stated that the Central Government has no plan to impose any tax on agriculture income. In a statement, Mr Jaitley said, he has read the paragraph in Niti Aayog's Report entitled 'Income tax on agriculture income'. <br/><br/>Obviating any confusion on the subject, the Minister said, as per the Constitutional Allocation of Powers, the Central Government has no jurisdiction to impose tax on agricultural income.
