<span style="color: #222222;">Union Minister of State for Information and Broadcasting Dr. L. Murugan has said that the Central Government has been stepping up the efforts of having a joint committee of officials from India and Sri Lanka to find a permanent solution for the fishermen issue. Speaking at Coimbatore after the VBSY meeting, he said that the Central Government had the welfare of the people as a priority and was implementing schemes. The Minister said that DMK never had a long-term vision for infrastructure and the result of that could be seen in the recent devastation of Cyclone Michaung.</span><br />
