In Tamil Nadu, the Central committee led by Noor-ul-Islam University Vice Chancellor Dr A E Muthunayagam met the expert panel formed by the Tamil Nadu government at Tirunelveli today to find a solution to the Koodankulam Nuclear power plant issue.
Our Correspondent reports, expectations are high on the meeting to resolve the issue on the safety aspects of Koodankulam nuclear power plant as both the panels met today.
The Central government’s panel among others include former Bhaba Atomic Research centre Director S K Mathew and Retd Director of Nuclear Waste Management Group K Balu . The State Government’s expert committee is led by Tirunelveli District collector R Selvaraj.
The Central committee explained the safety aspects of the nuclear power plant to the State committee.
Meanwhile in Idinthakarai the hunger strike against the Nuclear power plant continued for the twenty second day today .
