The Central Government is closely monitoring the relief and rescue operations in the six flood affected districts of Odisha. It is also in close touch with the State Government for extending the required support and assistance. According to a Home Ministry release issued today, 10 teams of National Disaster Response Force, NDRF, including 307 men with 60 boats and other accessories have been deployed for the rescue and relief operations. Out of the 10 teams, 6 teams are deployed at Jajpur, 3 at Kendrapara and 1 team at Bhadrak. These teams have already started evacuating the marooned people to safer places.On Saturday, two helicopters, one each from Indian Air Force and Indian Navy, have been deployed for air-dropping of the food packets and rescue operations. On sunday, two more helicopters have been deployed by Air Force.
