Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment has convened the 6th meeting of the Central Advisory Board on Disability in New Delhi today. The Ministry in a statement said that the meeting addressed pivotal issues in the disability sector, heralding a new era of transformative progress. The meeting was organized under the leadership of Social Justice and Empowerment Minister Dr. Virendra Kumar.<br />'' <br />'' The Ministry said that deliberations spanned critical topics such as the implementation status of the Rights of Persons with Disabilities (RPwD) Act, the Accessible India Campaign, Unique Disability Identity Card Project, among others. It further said that discussions also encompassed the identification of suitable posts in state establishments and schemes for PwDs.<br />'' <br />''It said that the members of the board contributed valuable suggestions, ranging from creating a comprehensive database of PwDs to proposing the establishment of a dedicated TV channel for PwDs.<br />'' <br />''Several ministers and key representatives from various States, UTs and organizations have attended the meeting. <br />
