The Center has released over 592 Crore rupees for development of playfields and over 187 Crore rupees for organizing sports competitions under the Panchayat Yuva Krida Aur Khel Abhiyan (PYKKA) scheme to the states till October this year. In a written reply in the Lok Sabha on Tuesday, Sports Minister Jitendra Singh said that around 57 thousand village panchayats and 1739 block panchayats have been approved under the PYKKA Scheme till October this year.
