Center on Friday released the Annual Calendar of Government of India-2012. It was jointly unveiled by the Minister of Information and Broadcasting Ambika Soni and Home Minister P. Chidambaram .This year the theme of the Calendar is' Bharat Nirman and Flagship Programme'. Speaking on the occasion Mr Chidambaram said that through this calendar government is able to communicate with the people of the country. He also appreciated media as the medium of communication between government and the country .Earlier Mrs Ambika Soni also inaugurated the new website of Directorate of Advertising and Visual Publicity ,DAVP ,which is user and disabled friendly .Several cabinet ministers including Law Minister Salman Khurshid, Human Resource and Development Minister Kapil Sibal among others were present on the occasion.
