The office of the Census Commissioner of India has launched a toll free helpline number to facilitate those who have been missed by the Census officials in counting. People can call or inform the call centre on the number 1800- 110- 111-to include in the household count. <br/><br/>The call centre will route the missing report to the official responsible who will subsequently ask the enumerators in his jurisdiction to pay a visit to the concerned citizen on a priority basis.<br/><br/>The facilities of the helpline will be utilised both for the Census exercise and the enumeration under the National Population Register. <br/><br/>All the states and Union Territories have earmarked date for commencement of the exercise. and if any citizen finds that his family has not been covered in the exercise. More than 25 lakh people will be engaged including retired government employees to carry out this massive exercise.<br/>
