<span style="color: #222222;">On the historic occasion of the Consecration of Ram Mandir at Ayodhya, celebrations are being held at various places in Sri Lanka as well. The members of the Indian Community have come together to organise special poojas at Colombo, Seeta Eliya, Jaffna, and other places. A special pooja was held at Sita Amman temple at Sita Eliya which is believed to be the place where Goddess Sita was held captive by Ravana. Celebrations were also held at Shri Bhakta Hanuman Temple at Rambodha followed by a Procession and Annadaan. In addition, special prayers were also held at Saraswathy Hall in Colombo where the Pran Pratishtha programme was viewed through Doordarshan's live broadcast.<br />''<br />''Sri Lanka is closely linked with India as part of the Ramayana trail as Lord Ram is believed to have visited Sri Lanka to save Sita who was held captive by Ravana.
