<span style="color: #222222;">In Ladakh, the Chief Executive Councilor LAHDC, Kargil Feroz Ahmad Khan hoisted the national flag at Khree Sultan Chow Sports Stadium Biamathang, and took salute at an impressive March Past comprising of contingents of Jammu and Kashmir Police, NCC, Army and Civil Band Party and troupes of Government and private schools on the 73rd Independence Day. Paying Homage to the Martyrs and those who laid their lives for this Independence, Feroz Ahmad Khan, Congratulated the people of Nation.<br />''<br />''He told that in the last 73 years this frontier district Kargil is developing on the same pace, the Nation is developing and the outcome can be seen by the well Build Roads, Schools and Health Centers and most importantly the Renewable Energy Sector. Focusing on the achievements of the Present Dispensation in LAHDC Kargil Feroz Ahmad Khan told that LAHDC has done tremendous efforts to uplift all the sectors of society and Functioning of Kargil Airport will be a great boost for the People and government will start work soon on its expansion. Terming tourism an emerging industry of the district, he told that the recent concluded Tourism Festival Kargil Ladakh in Kargil and Zanskar and the Fame tour for Travel and Tour Operators of the Country in Kargil has helped in portraying the possibilities of the district in this sector. Talking about various ongoing developmental projects Feroz Khan told that ourt of the 124 Crore Rupees for 60 road projects sanctioned under Center Roads Funds Scheme, 32 Crore rupees has been spent and the remaining works are going on war footing.<br />''<br />''Meanwhile the 45 projects sanctioned under languishing projects by the Government also going on and 28 Water Supply projects under NRWDP has been sanctioned for providing better water supply to the people, 19 has been completed and remaining 9 will be completed soon and water supply projects under Languishing Projects as well as Amrut is also going on.<br />''To improve the health sector work on 200 bedded hospital, various CHCs and ANM hospital is also going on and works in other sectors also under process which after completion will boost the overall development of the district. Education the primary focused sector of the LAHDC Kargil, Feroz Ahmad Khan, told that, LAHDC has collaborated with various villages all over Kargil to bring up various Pilot Schools and some Government schools like Baithang, Lankoor, Lankarchey Thang are becoming role models and in these villages people are preferring these Government Schools over Private Schools. Thanking the Governor J&K Satya Pal Malik, for sanctioning two Degree Colleges and various other projects to improve education sector in the District, Feroz Ahmad Khan urged upon the people of the District to come forward adopt the Government Schools to utilize the resources which are available free of cost at their door steps.<br />''<br />''Besides these he told that Kargil is also shining in the field of Sports and Players from Kargil has brought laurels at State, National and International Level and assured that LAHDC Kargil will always encourage Sports and Players in the district and is doing various developmental activities to strengthen the Sports Infrastructure in the District. Talking about the tapping of Renewable Energy in Kargil, Feroz Ahmad Khan told that Kargil Renewable Energy Development Agency is doing tremendous job in this sector and as a result we have Bairas SHP which is supplying electricity to Drass Area even under -43 degree and the recently inaugurated Chilong SHP and Sangrah SHP are best examples. Kargil is also getting some Solar Mega Projects which Includes, 2500 Ultra Mega Projects, 50 Megawatt Solar Project in Kargil Town and many other projects will also come. <br />''<br />''Various Cultural Programmes wer also presented by various Cultural Troops and School Students. Later the Chief Guest distributed prizes and mementoes among the contingents and the cultural troupes who participated in the celebrations. Independence Day was also celebrated at Drass, Sankoo, Chiktan, Zanskar and other block headquarters, AIR Kargil, BJP Kargil Office and at various Government Establishments of the district. SDM Drass and Zanskar hoisted the National Flags at their respective places; Tehsildar Sankoo hoisted National Flag at Sankoo. The Head of Office All India Radio Kargil H C Joshi, hoisted the National Flag at All India Radio Kargil Headquarters at Baroo in which all the officials, Family Members and some more than 50 inmates of Bal Ashram participated.<br />''On this occasion interacting with the employees and Paying tribute to those who sacrificed to gain Independence to the Nation, HC Joshi told that all the member of the society has to come forward and work for the whole society as well as for the Nation. National Flag was also hoisted at HPT Kurbathang by Programme Head Lobzang Namgyal, AIR Drass, Tai Suru and Padum and the employees celebrated 73rd Independence Day.</span><br />
