The Chief Election Commissioner of India Naveen Chawla has instructed the Jharkhand administration to ensure free and fair polls in the remaining 55 constituencies of the state. In these constituencies poling will be held in four phases of elections.Most of these constituencies are in the naxal infested areas. During review meeting with the high officials at Ranchi Mr. Chawla said deployment of security forces in naxal infested areas should be in such a way that people could vote without fear.<br/><br/>AIR correspondent reports that the chief election commissioner arrived Ranchi on a two day tour to this state to review the ongoing election preparedness.<br/><br/>The Chief election Commissioner Naveen chawla today held review meeting with the deputy commissioners and Sps of all the 24 districts through video conferencing. Mr Chawla took stock of the preparations for the polling during the remaining four phases. During review meeting with the high officials. Mr.Chawla assessed the security arrangements of polling booths in the naxal infested areas. He asked the state administration to take preventive measures to ensure that no untoward incident happens on the polling day. Before leaving for Delhi tomorrow the Chief Election Commissioner will have a meeting with the Chief Secretry and the Director general of Police.<br/>
