Pakistan has requested for a higher-level flag meeting between Indian and Pakistani side to discuss the ceasefire violations issue.

The request came during the sector commander level flag meeting between BSF and Pakistan Rangers held at Nikowal Border Out Post (BoP) along the International Border (IB) in Pargwal forward belt in Akhnoor sector of Jammu district today.

The meeting which lasted for half and hour was represented by Sector commander S K Singh of BSF 94 Batallion from the Indian side.

Lt. Col. Waqar of 19 Pak Rangers represented from the other side.

The Indian side said that their request will be forwarded to higher authorities.

The Pakistan Rangers had requested for today's meeting though agenda was not well defined.
